Hello! My name is Ella, I am a British artist and art teacher with a love for all things creative.
I believe that art can enrich our lives no matter who we are, where we are from or our age. Art is for everyone. Something wonderful can happen when we allow ourselves the space and time to make art; for enjoyment, relaxation, curiosity, for the simple act of creating. Whether that is independent or collaborative - life is better with a little paint on your hands!
I am a mixed media artist working across disciplines and high school art teacher in South West London where I have been for over 20 years. Alongside teaching in mainstream education, I give private tuition to students of all ages. For over a decade I have delivered workshops for adults at art societies in Surrey, on a range of subjects, designed to help artists of all levels explore media, techniques and processes with curiosity and joy. I celebrate creativity and am passionate about helping others explore art further, developing their knowledge, skills and creative journey. Being in nature has influenced my artwork throughout my life. I have used art to support me through challenging times and taught others how to use art to support their own wellbeing. When I am not teaching, I spend a lot of time walking in the local area with my family and building dens in the woods with my sons.
I have run workshops for art societies in the Surrey and London area over many years, as well as offering relaxed art lessons for all age groups and 1-2-1 tutoring for GCSE and A Level.
